Commitment to Achieving Net Zero
Trust Health Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero carbon emissions by 2045, aligned to PPN 06/21 requirements and the NHS Net Zero Supplier Roadmap. As SMEs, we recognise the importance of contributing to NHS Net Zero ambitions and will continuously review and refine our ambitions against national requirements and guidance to enable continuous improvement.
Baseline Emissions
As a sub-contractor of LLPs—aligning to PPN 06/21 acceptable circumstances for SMEs—we do not currently hold full baseline calculations for Scope 1, 2 or 3 emissions. We are in the process of calculating baseline emissions using the Evergreen Assessment tool, applying standard emission factors based on items such as headcount, office patterns and average home energy use per person. A formalised estimate will be completed and publicly published by the end of Q3 2025. However, we estimate our current impact to be:
- Scope 1: We do not directly own or control energy sources such as vehicles, equipment or building premises. Impact is estimated as none / minimal
- Scope 2: Limited to energy consumption across one co-working office
- Scope 3: Involves minimal business travel, employee commuting and home working environments, in line with our hybrid working model. Our scope 3 emissions cover categories defined by the GHG Protocol, including Category 6 (business Travel), Category 7 (employee commuting and ‘teleworking’ / homeworking), and Category 1 (purchased goods and services)
Commitments, Action and Outcomes
We will utilise the Evergreen Sustainable Supplier Assessment to formally establish our baseline emissions and inform commitments to Net Zero targets. Though not directly within our operations, we also aim to promote energy efficient technology, sustainable travel and low-carbon procurement options within our sub-contracted LLPs through policy development and sharing of resources.
